Cycle Volta

2X2 Adventure bike
Gen 4
2.1kWh battery

"Although not as fast as a motorcycle, the 2X2 can cover some serious terrain thanks to the two-wheel-drive, dual-motor setup. Both motors put out the same power (1kw), but in the corners it felt very natural with the 50/50 power split."

Justin Dawes from Cycle Volta takes the 2X2 Adventure out for a spin.

"You blast up to 50kmh then enjoy the bitterness that radiates from the cars that make too much effort to pass you, as if it’s a personal attack on them that you got off the line better. Then you can filter between the lanes to the front of the queue again and repeat."

Nike Bijoux from Stuff.co.nz takes the 2X2 out for the weekend on and offroad in Auckland.

"In my short time on the vehicle, I couldn’t stop marvelling over how comfortable and shock-absorbing it was."

Scott Kramer from Forbes has a great time taking the bike out into uncharted territory and back onto the road.

"If I could pick one word to describe the 2X2, I would say 'versatile'. It's just a bike that you can do everything with. I'm out here on a 4X4 trail out in the back country and the bike just feels right at home here. And it’s street legal so I've taken it around town for groceries, getting stuff to eat. It does all that well... It's so quiet and feels unobtrusive. It's just a pleasure to ride this thing."

Motorcycling enthusiast Tucker Neary takes a look at the Gen 4 UBCO 2X2 as an ode to the Honda CT-90.
